Midwest Percussion Cooperative (MPC) is a not-for-profit educational organization that concentrates on the development of percussion performance skills among junior high and high school-age individuals and ensembles, as well as independent ensembles.
Our purpose is to create and foster a system of values, through ensemble participation, that will allow students to achieve excellence through teamwork while striving to reach their maximum potential. Participants will not only grow musically but develop and grow in self-esteem, integrity, work ethic, teamwork and develop a sense of accomplishment and pride.
MPC sponsors and supports the state’s many educational clinics and events, sanctioning contests for the burgeoning indoor percussion activity and is a sanctioning body for percussion contests and educational events. We develop a collective knowledge base between the region’s many talented and dedicated percussion educators and are a cooperative resource for educators seeking knowledge and guidance to improve their programs and better serve their students.
